The Youth Ministry is the youth wing of the Church. This ministry is teeming with exuberant young men and women who are on fire for the Lord. Pastor Ebenezer Hagan Appointed Youth Director – Pensa International
Pastor Ebenezer Hagan, the Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) Travelling Secretary for Greater Accra Sector, has been appointed as the Director of the Youth Ministry of The Church of Pentecost.
He replaces Apostle David Nyansah Hayfron, who has served for eight years as the director of the youth wing of the Church, which is the umbrella body of PENSA. His appointment takes effect from September 2019.
His appointment was contained in the Executive Decisions (White Paper) announced on Friday, May 10, by the General Secretary of the Church, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, at the climax of the 16th Extraordinary Council Meetings which took place from 8th -10th May, 2019 at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh.
Meanwhile, Apostle Samuel Osei Asante, Executive Council Member and Area Head for Koforidua, was appointed as the Patron of the Youth Ministry. With the exception of the Women’s Ministry, Patrons are appointed for ministries whose directors are neither Apostles nor Prophets. They chair the ministries and serve as an advisers to the directors and other officers of the ministries.
Per the Constitution of The Church of Pentecost, the Youth Director, who shall hold office for four (4) years and may be reviewed for further terms, among other things, prepare and carry out the ministry’s programmes and implement decisions of the General Council, the Executive Council and the Youth Ministry Executive Committee. He shall also be responsible for the administration of the ministry, and in consultation with the Patron plan programmes for evangelism in schools, colleges and the tertiary institutions and plan special programmes for the youth.
Profile of Pastor Ebenezer Hagan
Pastor Ebenezer Hagan was born to Elder Emmanuel and Mrs. Grace Acquah Hagan on 21st May, 1981. He hails from Ekumfi Asaafa in Ghana’s Central Region.
He completed Aggrey Memorial Senior High School in Cape Coast and proceeded to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) where he studied BSc. Civil Engineering and completed in 2006. He has certificates in theology, project management, and an MA in Pentecostal Studies. Ebenezer is currently a graduate research student (MTh) at the Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon, where he is currently folding up with his studies in Practical Theology (Christian Education). His researches in graduate studies have been in youth ministry among African Pentecostal and Charismatic churches.
Pastor Hagan is a member of the Association of Youth Ministry Educators (AYME) headquartered in the USA. He serves in the national coordination of the International Association for the Study of Youth Ministry (IASYM), and also serves as the Greater Accra regional youth coordinator for the Ghana Association of Pastoral Care and Counselling (GAPCC), in which associations he presents papers at conferences based on his research area and interest.
Before his call into the full-time ministry he worked with Wilhem Construction Ltd., and later with Associated Consultants (ACON), a Civil Engineering Consultancy firm in Accra.
Pastor Hagan was once the PENSA president for KNUST. He was called into the full-time ministry in 2008 and was stationed at Nyankpala in the northern region from where he served as Area Workers Secretary and Area Youth Leader for Tamale. He was called into the pastorate in 2013. Before his appointment as Youth Director of the Church, he served as the PENSA Travelling Secretary for the Greater Accra region.
He is married to Priscilla; they are blessed with three girls – Awuradwoa, Awurafua, and Baaba.

This is seen many times in the Bible, as God often used young people to do great things. For example, God used Timothy to pastor and lead the Ephesian church when he was a teenager. 1 Timothy 4:12 says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
In addition, there is much to be learned from the faith of a child. Matthew 18:2-4 says, “He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.’” Because of God’s heart for young people, it is important to recognize their value in today’s church.

Assembly of God youth organizations
Assemblies of God youth organizations include two youth organizations operating under the auspices of the Assemblies of God, the Royal Rangers and the Mpact Girls Clubs (formerly known as the Missionettes).
Royal Rangers [ edit ]
Royal Rangers is an adventure-based, merit-driven, faith-based, church ministry and mentoring program for boys in grades K-12, providing “Christlike character formation and servant leadership development for boys and young men in a highly relational and fun environment”.[4] The Royal Rangers program is active throughout the United States as well as in over 90 other nations; consequently, in 2002, ‘Royal Rangers International’ (RRI) was started. Royal Rangers in the USA is a boys-only program, unless the church does not have a girls ministry program; programs in some other nations allow both boys and girls to participate. The uniforms, mottos, practices and operation are derived from the Boy Scouts.
Royal Rangers’ Mission is to “evangelize, equip, and empower the next generation of Christlike men and lifelong servant leaders.” (Formerly worded: To instruct, challenge, and inspire our boys in the areas of Bible doctrine, Christian service, moral conduct, and the basic beliefs of our church, through interesting activities that boys enjoy.)[5]
The highest attainable award in Royal Rangers is the Gold Medal of Achievement (GMA), which is promoted as the equivalent to the rank of Eagle Scout. The GMA testifies to the persevering work, assiduous endurance, and ceaseless dedication towards the program, plus being equipped to be strong, intrepid leaders.

The program features a number of components of special interest to certain types of our membership. These include: Frontiersman Camping Fellowship (FCF), Royal Rangers Alumni, The Outpost Ranger of the Year, The NSSP (National Shooting Sports Program), The National Championships, Brownells/NRA National Youth Shooting Sports Program, and the “Together Plan”.

Royal Rangers ministers to young people in the United States and in over 90 countries through the support of Royal Rangers International, the Assemblies of God World Missions organization tasked with the responsibility to support Royal Rangers worldwide (see RoyalRangersInternational.com). Thus, in 2002, Royal Rangers International was created. The largest organization outside the United States is in Australia, with groups in all areas except Northern Territory and Western Australia.
Mpact Girls Clubs [ edit ]
Mpact Girls Clubs, formerly known as Missionettes Girls Clubs, are part of a worldwide program directed by National Girls Ministries within the Assemblies of God. The program is the counterpart ministry to Royal Rangers. The Clubs were created to allow girls an opportunity to discuss issues that matter to them and learn how to live according to Biblical principles given by Jesus.[12][13]
The name was changed from Missionettes to Mpact Girls Clubs in March 2007 as part of a strategic plan to reach girls in a more holistic manner. The Clubs were subsequently divided into three categories to accommodate the boys in the two early clubs, Sunlight Kids and Rainbows.
The Missionettes were founded by the Assemblies of God Women’s Ministries in 1956.[14]
Purpose [ edit ]
Girls Ministries Clubs are driven by a 5-fold Purpose.[15]
To win girls to Jesus Christ through love and acceptance.
To teach them to obey everything Jesus commanded us—developing girls spiritually and mentally.
To provide encouragement, support and accountability through lasting Christian relationships.
To provide an environment for girls to develop their gifts and abilities.
To acquaint them with the Great Commission of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Girls Clubs Code [ edit ]
One of the distinctives that sets these clubs apart from other clubs is that there is a code which is the mind-set of all leaders and girls.[16] The Code is Philippians 4:8 — “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things.” (NIV)
Club levels [ edit ]
Girls Ministries clubs are organized into three categories of clubs.[17] The leaders of each club are called “Sponsors”.
Mpact Kids Clubs (Co-ed)
Sunlight Kids is the club for nursery-age children up to 36 months. Boys and Girls may be part of the Sunlight Kids club.
Rainbows is the club for 3 and 4 year olds. Boys and Girls may be part of the Rainbows club. When a boy starts Kindergarten he will move into the Royal Rangers program. The Rainbow colors are Green and White. The club motto is “Rainbows are helpers.”
Mpact Girls Clubs
Daisies is the club for Kindergarten girls. It is a one-year program. The Daisies colors are Yellow and White. The club motto is “Daisies tell about Jesus.”
Prims is the club for 1st and 2nd grade girls. The club colors are Pink and White. The Prims motto is “I will be kind and thoughtful.”
Stars is the club for 3rd through 5th grade girls. The club colors are Blue and White. The Stars motto is “I will follow Jesus.”
Teen Girl Ministries (TGM)
Friends is the club for 6th through 8th grade girls. The club colors are Purple and White. The Friends motto is “We are committed to God.”
Girls Only is the club for 9th through 12th grade girls. The club colors are Red and White. The Girls Only motto is “Every day in every way I will boldly live for God.”

THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST
The Youth Ministry takes care of the youth of the Church. It meets on Mondays. Its students’ wing, called Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA), operates in second cycle and tertiary institutions. It is vibrant in evangelism and leadership training.
The Ministry carries out evangelism, i.e., preaches, witnesses and wins souls; encourages the youth to participate fully in the programmes and activities of the Church and further exposes them to the various ministries within the Church.
It affords the youth the full opportunity to plan and organise programmes and activities for evangelism in schools, colleges and the tertiary institutions, and encourages them to develop their gifts and qualities of leadership, plan and organise programmes and activities that meet the peculiar needs and aspirations of the youth as well as carrying out other specialized Youth-related ministries.
Pastor Ebenezer Hagan is the current Director of the Youth Ministry. He is assisted by Elder Prof. Eric Apau-Asante. Apostle Samuel Osei Asante is the Patron of the Youth Ministry.
